Tempeh Cash Recipe
Agave syrup (or maple) – 2 tablespoons Olive gas – 1 tablespoon to get marinade and 1 teaspoon for any pan Liquid light up (can be exchanged with BBQ spices) – 1 teaspoon Cumin – teaspoon Cayenne spice up – a pinch How to make sure you Prepare Reduce the tempeh portions to thin pieces and combine that with other compounds (except the organic extra-virgin olive oil for the pan) in a veryshallow dish. It is important to gently toss this ingredients, so that slices do not falter. You may also combine every one of the ingredients except a tempeh slices from a shallow dish and be able to, dip each portion, so that the application gets evenly coated while using mixture. Allow the pieces to soak within the marinade for another 3 to 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place a saute pan relating to the stove and squeeze in a teaspoon of this kind of oil. Now, lay the tempeh slices individually on the pot. Make sure the slices don’t overlap in concert. You can start being active . excess marinade to the pan. Indian winner Nikita Gandhi to serve first Champion menu at MasterChef restaurant in Dubai
Nikita Gandhi became the youngest winner of MasterChef India in 2015. Four years later, and the Abu Dhabi-raised chef has been selected to create the first Champion menu for MasterChef, the TV Restaurant, which opened its doors in Dubai Marina in April. Foodies can enjoy the limited-edition five-course dinner on June 6 and 7 at the eatery located in Millennium Marina Place, starting from Dh260 per person.
On the menu The meal showcases Gandhi’s take on popular Indian vegetarian dishes, and starts with a welcome drink of spicy kiwi mimosas, made with kiwi, green chilli and mint popsicle, and elderflower tonic water.
The amuse bouche is the so-called BlackOut pani puri, where the crispy puri is given a charcoal twist, while the “water” is a blend of passion fruit foam, and mango and pineapple salsa. This is followed by a paneer tikka and mozzarella empanada. So far, so twisted.
Mains include a choice between Gandhi’s signature crispy eggplant layered with ricotta and makhani sauce, and wild mushroom kofta with warm pumpkin sauce and truffle butter naan.
A palate cleanser comes in the form of kokum granita – a mint tea sphere with roasted black grapes – and dessert is a stuffed kulfi bar, with pistachio barfi, ice cream and dark chocolate.
The meal concludes with a digestive tea blended with fennel, star anise and fresh herbs.

“We are bringing food from actual people who went on the show and won. With the restaurant, you get a little bit of the show because you get to see us cook the dishes, and then you can be the judge.”
I don’t think I’m a super taster, but honestly, what I’ve found really helpful in getting better at recognizing tastes is by working with the basic ingredients more and more. Growing herbs has also been truly a helpful experience. Once you know the taste of an herb, and the name of it, the brain as a much easier time of tasting something and going “Oh, that’s a bit of oregano” or “Oh that’s good deal of pepper in this” that being said, French, Chinese and Indian cuisine can still be a bit of a tricky game since they often include such a variety of processes and or mixing of spices and herbs.
For a couple of months I tried preparing my meats with just a simpler amount of herbs and spices: steak strictly with salt and pepper, then with a sprig of rosemary, parsley with eggs, chicken with thyme, it was really cool to see what each herb added to the food. It really made me appreciate a lot of herbs that I never really gave a chance. Parsley is probably something that I never really thought about until I did a cheese and egg omelette with chives and parsley. So good. So damn good.

The great thing about wanting to do a road trip in South Africa is that you’re really spoiled for choice. Last Easter Weekend, we decided to head down South Africa’s southern coast to Eastern’s Cape Port Elizabeth. We set off on our journey in the early hours of the morning for what we planned to be a one day journey down the N2 over nine hours with a short break in Knysna. The Garden Route that guides you to Port Elizabeth is the highlight of the drive as it shows some of the finest natural scenes that Cape Town has to offer. A true beauty is the Tsitsikamma river which you catch a good look at over the high-rise bridges. We reached our destination after the sun had set but by the next morning and started our vacation with a relaxing stroll down the Shark Rock Pier. From here you can get a good look at the Port Elizabeth harbour and the Humewood Six Pillars. Upon our visit, the wind really wasn’t holding up and with PE being a windy city it’s advised you keep a jacket at hand. Shark Rock Pier
After the pier, we headed across the road to the Boardwalk which houses a cinema, a couple of restaurants and shops, a small theme park and a casino. Accompanying this is also the five-star Boardwalk Hotel which has been designed to look like a white castle. The Boardwalk is a quaint location with elements of a Disney fantasy setting accentuated by the large pond in the centre. Apart from shopping and eating, there’s not much you can do from an adult’s point of view. The theme park offerings are all centred towards kids. The boardwalk at night Mini donuts
The next day we decided to adventure out to Addo Elephant National Park; a popular wildlife destination that acts as a sanctuary for many animals. If you find yourself in the Port Elizabeth, the 30 minute drive to Addo is worth the journey. Entry will cost you R68 (for South Africans) with it you get a handy map of the park. While most cars will do fine along the gravel roads it’s advised that you take something with a bit of a ride height as there can be some unsuspecting rocks along the path. Addo Elephant Park
Addo offers an array of amazing views and the opportunity to see some magnificent elephants among other animals up close. The lions on the other hand tend to keep their distance but that’s probably for the best so try to remember a set of binoculars if you want to get a good look at them.
At the centre of Addo there’s also a great picnic spot where you can get out of your car as the rest of the park doesn’t allow this for obvious reasons. The picnic spot can get a bit busy but there are plenty of tables for everyone.
The next day the weather was pretty good so we ventured out to Sardinia Bay Beach which has a pretty steep dune to crest before you get to the water so make sure your calf muscles are prepared. Sardinia Bay is truly a hidden gem with simple but beautiful views and, seeing that it’s based along the Indian Ocean, the water is welcomingly warm. Bear in mind that there is only one store close by that sells drinks and snacks so come well prepared with essentials. Sardinia Bay
During this weekend the weather can be difficult to gauge in PE so make sure you check the weather forecast before planning. Definitely remember to pack an umbrella is there are no shady spots to set up. There’s a lot of space on this shore and it’s generally quiet so you won’t have to arrive early just to secure a place to sit.
If it’s the food you’re looking for, there’s an area called Mount Croix which boasts a cluster of boutique restaurants in a French quarter fashion. There are a lot of eating places get through there but the one we visited for breakfast was Vovo Telo. The setting is quaint and playful with a cottage style theme but it is quite small so booking a table would be advised, especially if you are a big group. It also hosts a small bakery so if you want to enjoy some high tea, it’s suitable for that as well. Otherwise, the menu is simple and straightforward. The food was also pretty tasty and the pricing wasn’t really too bad.
There are more eating spots along the seaside as well such as the Company Social Brasserie located on Beach Road. The setting is very trendy and as the name suggests is a great place for social gatherings. Seeing that it’s situated on the beach, it’s a better location to visit during the summers. The menu is pretty extensive, which is usually a bad sign, but the food wasn’t too bad. It is more expensive than other restaurants, though. Company Social Brasserie
We visited Suki Sushi and Asian cuisine as well which was a mouth-watering experience. I truly loved everything at this place, the sushi, the service and the creative décor.
PE restaurants close much earlier than Cape town ones so be sure to check ahead of schedule. Overall we had a good experience in Port Elizabeth. I feel like it’s underrated as it does have some beautiful locations but would love to see more investment being made in the Windy city. It’s also known as the friendly city and the people are for sure friendly! Even the PE people I have met in Cape town are really the friendliest!
I wish we had more than a weekend to explore Port Elizabeth as there is much more to see and do. But hopefully one day I will return and get to explore more of it. Have you been to Port Elizabeth?

Adding further weight to several pieces of research commissioned by ILTM Asia Pacific and presented during its annual event in Singapore this week, the behaviour of the Asian millionaire traveler; their motivations, media channels, brand preferences and consumption patterns were the focus of a seminar presentation to both exhibitors and buyers.
Having interviewed 903 millionaires across China, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan, Agility Research & Strategy defined millionaires as those whose HNW was $US1m+.
Key takeaways from the study include:
– 2019 will be another year of strong growth for the luxury travel segment. Particularly encouraging is the willingness to travel manifested by Chinese and Indian millionaires, given the large number of HNW individuals residing in these two countries. Japanese millionaires, on the other hand, remain reluctant to travel internationally, a trend that persists despite a stabilizing economy and increased inbound touristic flows.
– The research indicates that millionaires’ reasons to travel are shifting from status and recognition to personal growth and better quality of life. Increasingly, business trips become a mix of business and leisure, and millionaires plan their trips with the whole family, to spend quality time with children, and to share the experiences together.
– There is increased awareness that luxury travel is more than luxury accommodation and transportation. Experience seeking has become the true motivation to travel. Food experiences remain high on the millionaires travel bucket-list, starting from a varied breakfast at the hotel, continuing with a local, authentic and safe lunch to sample the local cuisine, and ending with fine dining at a Michelin-rated restaurant. – Shopping, which until a few years ago was cited as the top reason to travel across all 6 markets covered by the study, is becoming less relevant. Asian millionaires’ interests are becoming more sophisticated: city tours, diving, beach, food, amusement parks, spas and hot springs are some of the most mentioned reasons to travel. We expect to see in the next few years an increase of interest in art & cultural travel, on the tail of the opening of major museums and cultural institutions throughout the region.
– Online and digital is gaining traction both as a channel to search for information and as way to research and book travel. At the same time, traditional channels such as recommendation from friends and family, TV and magazines are still very relevant in shaping and influencing millionaires travel decisions.
– Over 85% of millionaires surveyed in China consider a hotel’s eco-friendliness important.
